I commenced in the horticulture industry under the original kiwifruit export structure in 1980 which in 1988 was regulated as the NZ Kiwifruit Marketing Board (NZKMB). In 1989 I was appointed as the NZKMB European Operations Manager responsible for UK and Europe distribution.
Following 5 years in Europe I moved to Cairo, Egypt managing a packing and export operation returning to NZ in 1997. Thereafter I managed several horticulture businesses including a kiwifruit packhouse, an export and domestic marketing business, and a fruit labelling concern before commencing with Zeafruit in 2013.
